1. Information you provide
- Account information: email address, authentication records and account identifier.
- RV information: vehicle type, model year, dimensions, weight, fuel profile and routing preferences you enter.
- Trip information: start and destination labels, route coordinates, waypoints, selected campgrounds, notes and readiness details when you save a trip.
- Saved content and reports: saved campgrounds, community corrections, support messages and beta feedback.
2. Location information
Your browser asks permission before sharing device location. Location may be used to set your trip start, find nearby campgrounds or dump stations, or power Live Trip Tracking.
Live Trip Tracking positions are processed in the open browser session and are not intentionally stored as a continuous travel history. If you use your location as a trip start and then save that trip, the trip’s starting coordinates may be stored with the saved trip. Closing the page or ending tracking stops the active browser location watch.
3. Information collected automatically
Our hosting provider may process ordinary request and security logs, such as IP address, browser information, requested page, time and diagnostic information. Vercel Web Analytics provides aggregate, cookie-free traffic statistics such as page views, referrer, general region and device/browser category. It does not give us a personally identifiable browsing history.
The app uses browser storage for sign-in session tokens, map-layer preferences and your one-time RV safety acknowledgment. Clearing browser storage may sign you out and reset these preferences.
4. How we use information
- Provide accounts, saved RVs, saved campgrounds and saved trips.
- Calculate routes, campground compatibility, overnight suggestions, weather and travel-service information.
- Maintain safety, prevent abuse, diagnose failures and improve the beta.
- Respond to support requests and review reported data corrections.
- Measure aggregate site performance and feature use.
5. Service providers and external services
Information needed for a feature may be processed by:
- Supabase for accounts, authentication and stored application data — privacy policy.
- Vercel for hosting, server functions, performance measurement and aggregate analytics — privacy notice.
- HERE for RV routing, reverse geocoding and nearby fuel-search candidates — privacy policy.
- OpenStreetMap services for map tiles and place search. Search text and network information may reach those services — privacy policy.
- Official weather and border services when route-specific forecasts or crossing status are requested.
- Google Maps or other linked sites only when you choose to open an external map or official-resource link.
These providers may process information in the United States, Canada or other countries under their own policies and our service arrangements.
6. Sharing and sale
We do not sell personal information. We may disclose information to service providers working for the app; to protect users, the service or the public; to investigate fraud or abuse; or when lawfully required. If the service is reorganized or transferred, information may transfer with it subject to applicable law.
7. Retention, security and your choices
Account and saved-planning data may be retained while your account remains active and as reasonably needed for operation, security, backup, dispute resolution and legal obligations. No online service can promise absolute security.
You may browse without creating an account, decline device-location permission, stop live tracking, clear browser storage, or request access, correction or deletion of account data by contacting support@campgroundcompatibility.com. We may need to verify your identity before completing an account request.
8. Children and policy changes
The service is intended for adults planning RV travel and is not directed to children under 13. We may update this policy as the beta changes. Material changes will be identified by a new effective date or an in-app notice.
